Krona and Carlsberg Ukraine are helping hospitals

As part of a partnership with Carlsberg Ukraine, we purchased and delivered 7,533 personal protective kits to 12 hospitals in Ukraine. Those are in Kyiv and the region, Zaporizhia and the region, and in Lviv. The kits are certified and consist of overalls, boot covers, helmet and mask with a screen.

Carlsberg Ukraine allocated UAH 2.25 million for charity and commented their decision:

Now it’s crucial to study the needs of hospitals and determine their priority,” Carlsberg Ukraine comments. “Lack of personal protective equipment for doctors and oxygen equipment for patients are the most sensitive issues. Deprived of PPE, the whole teams of doctors fall ill. Besides of individual health problems, they may transfer the disease to healthy people. As a company, we want to save time and make our help as effective as possible, so we decided to provide doctors with PPE in the first place.

Since March 16, All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Krona”, in partnership with Ukrainian businesses and private donors, is in constant fight against COVID-19. The foundation purchased ventilators and PPE for the total cost of UAH 12.1 million.

However, some medical institutions are still in need. Together with Corporate Social Responsibility Center, we keep on fundraising to support Ukrainian doctors in frames of the project “Protecting Those Who Help”.
