Krona and Raiffeisen Bank Aval against COVID-19

Krona and Raiffeisen Bank Aval have purchased 3 AVEA artificial lung ventilation devices by Vyaire Medical (CareFusion), worth 4,350,000 UAH in total.

In April, the artificial lung ventilators were taken to Kyiv City Hospital #9 and Chernivtsi Regional Clinical Hospital. It is the main medical facilities to which patients with COVID-19 are transferred.

Our bank provided charitable assistance in order to purchase ventilation devices for the most busy Ukrainian hospitals. We believe our support will help patients and healthcare providers to successfully treat COVID-19. Along with that we ask you to take care of yourself and follow the rules of disease prevention

It is important for us to support our doctors and to help them with high quality medical equipment,” the bank representatives said. “Our bank provided charitable assistance in order to purchase ventilation devices for the most busy Ukrainian hospitals. IVL is able to save the lives of patients with COVID-19-induced complications, mainly lung function impairment. The availability of IVL devices in medical facilities is critically important, as each new device gives the chance of recovery to several dozen patients in severe conditions.

The Raiffeisen Bank Aval allocated an additional UAH 630 thousand for personal protective equipment of physicians. The Krona Foundation purchased 1000 anti-epidemic kits, 2000 respirators, 1 oxygen concentrator and transferred to the Kherson Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital. G.I. Gorbachevsky.
