The esports stream collected UAH 0.5 million for hospitals

Ukrainian esports team NAVI and GG.BET bookmaker in partnership with Krona Foundation raised funds for equipment to support the treatment of war victims in Ukraine

On July 19, NAVI team, which is the winner of several world’s championships, and the bookmaker agency GG.BET organized a boon match show in DotA2. The broadcast helped to raise funds for Krona Charitable Foundation to provide the equipment for the Regional Children’s Hospital in Zaporizhzhia. That hospital is the nearest relatively safe place where the residents of the front-line areas can get qualified medical care.

The game was broadcasted via the Twitch channel of the Ukrainian commentator Olsior. Players from current and former casts of NAVI took part in it. During the broadcast, both gamers and viewers made donations, so within three hours of the stream, more than 4,000 donations were made and UAH 500,000 were collected

The money was raised in favor of the project STAND WITH UKRAINE by GG.BET & Krona.

Previously, the project gained UAH 316,577 from donations during the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 (world’s biggest CS:GO championship), which took place on May 19–22 in Antwerp, Belgium.

With the funds collected, Krona is purchasing vacuum aspirators, patient monitors, and infusion pumps for the Regional Children’s Hospital in Zaporizhzhia and National Specialized Children’s Hospital “Okhmatdyt”. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in Ukraine, Zaporizhia Regional Hospital is constantly receiving wounded children and adults from the entire front line in the East and the South of Ukraine. Meanwhile, the medical team of the Okhmatdyt Hospital is non-stop saving lives of people from all over the country, who have the most serious injuries and illnesses
