Five specialists from the Voronovytsia Primary Health Care Center completed training in providing rehabilitation services at the Center of Excellence of the Vinnytsia Regionлal Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital named after Academician O. I. Yushchenko.
The training was aimed at strengthening the capacity of the community’s multidisciplinary team to deliver outpatient rehabilitation services. During the sessions, specialists from the Center of Excellence shared practical experience in physical rehabilitation for various target groups of patients, including veterans after injuries, the application of occupational therapy practices, the use of rehabilitation equipment, as well as the organization of psychological and social support for patients during recovery.
Training our specialists is a necessary prerequisite for introducing outpatient rehabilitation services in the community. After completing inpatient rehabilitation, people return home, but the recovery process continues. It is important that trained professionals work in the community to ensure continuity of rehabilitation care, noted Yulia Petlinska, Director of the Voronovytsia Primary Health Care Center.
In addition to trainings, the project provides for the creation of an accessible environment, the establishment of a rehabilitation hall and an occupational therapy room, as well as the procurement of equipment for physical and psychological rehabilitation of community residents.
The training was organized within the project “Creating an Inclusive Recovery and Rehabilitation Space for Residents of the Voronovytsia Community in Vinnytsia Region”, implemented by the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Krona” with the support of UNDP in Ukraine under the project “Support for Inclusive Recovery to Ensure the Resilience and Safety of People in Ukraine”, with financial assistance from the Government of Japan.
