Second Breath

We bring help in pediatric reanimation closer to world standards. Our Foundation purchases equipment and materials for intensive care units.

Pediatric intensive care units are the toughest departments in the hospitals. Here, doctors rescue children from the verge of death. They deal with consequences of road accidents, poisonings, injuries and burns, bleeding and congenital pathologies.

To give a child a “second breath”, one needs tools and equipment assumably comparable with space technologies.

Within the framework of the project, we’ve helped to intensive care units of Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital OHMATDYT, Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, Kyiv City Children’s Clinical Hospital #1, Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, Zapotizhia City Hospital #7, regional hospitals in Kovel, Biloukrainsk and Nizhyn. Krona Foundation purchased oxygen equipment, patient monitors, infusomats, pulse oximeters, a fibrobronchoscope, and other vitally important fitments.

7 intensive care units are patronized by the project
